These Briggs & Stratton engines were made during the late 1980's and are mostly fitted to rotary lawnmowers. They are side valve (L Head) and have a plastic fuel tank entirely covering the engine. They can be told apart from the similar looking but later Quantum engine as they have a plastic slide throttle/choke control in front of the carburettor rather than a pivoting metal control.
