Q = Where do I find the Model, Type and Code on a Briggs & Stratton engine?

You’ll normally find the Model, Type and Code numbers stamped directly onto the engine — these three numbers uniquely identify your Briggs & Stratton engine and are essential for looking up the correct parts.

On most engines, the numbers are located either:

- Stamped into the blower housing (the metal engine cover)
